Chapels are a sacred space within our hospitals - they reveal quiet and powerful moments.
Some of our staff pop in to the Chapel before they start work on a busy shift – a quiet moment to seek strength to give their best compassionate and excellent care to every patient.
Doctors visit the Chapel to seek wisdom, that their decisions are the best ones. Our Chapel is an important place for families and staff to gather, for blessings, for mourning, for prayer.
Patients and their families seek solace in our Chapel, praying for hope and good health. Some patients pray for a safe journey, some families pray for miracles.
Our Chapels are also a place of gratitude – families take their newborn to the Chapel, giving praise and thanks for the miracle of their birth. Some of our Aged Care residents regularly visit the Chapel and find comfort in the quiet space, devoting prayer for their own jouirney and that of their family and friends.
Ours is a Catholic Chapel and we always welcome people of all faiths. We need a purpose-built Chapel to serve all of our hospital community – patients, residents, staff, volunteers, doctors and visitors.
St Vincent's Private Hospital Werribee Chapel Project
It’s important that our hospital community has a sacred place and we are undertaking the construction of a permanent and beautiful Chapel. The cost of this endeavour is $1.5 million and we are asking your support to help build the Chapel, and offer this sacred place to the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee community.
At St Vincent's we are especially committed to caring for people from all walks of life, including the poor and vulnerable. We have four core hospital values; compassion, justice, integrity and excellence. The construction of our Chapel is central to the spirit of our mission.
Thank you for joining us on this extraordinary journey and we hope you will continue to support us.
